Despite being 39 years old, Hernanes is still an active player.

During Sale’s 2-1 home win against Spinettese on March 2, the ‘Prophet’ harshly protested with the referee over a penalty.

As a result of his ‘gravely disrespectful conduct towards the match official,’ he received an eight-game suspension.

While the referee tried to book him, Hernanes struck his arm, making the cards fall to the ground.

Eventually, his teammates walked him off the pitch.

However, even then, he refused to stop insulting the referee after completely losing his temper.

That’s a bit odd, considering Hernanes always gave the impression of being calm and collected during his professional career.
