Liverpool fans are preparing for a summer of change at the club and some may want Andy Robertson to be part of this transition period.
Speaking exclusively to Empire of the Kop before Saturday’s legends game at Anfield, Gregory Vignal was asked for his thoughts on the captain of Scotland.
The 43-year-old said: “I don’t want to have a lack respect for Robertson, because he’s a top world class player.
“So I think we have to wait and see what’s going on at the end of the season, but right now he’s got the jersey on and I’m sure he will want to keep it…
“It’s always difficult because the demand and the intensity of the game is so difficult, to maintain this level especially when you play every three or four days and for a club like Liverpool Football Club.
“And after when you get older, it’s more difficult to repeat the same efforts but look, he’s got a strong mentality. So he will fight to stay at this level for sure…
“When I’m speaking about keeping the same intensity, this is where the fans have to understand it’s a big demand.
“There are so many games now and less recovery and because there are so many games, it’s a big demand to stay at the top level, to play every three or four days.
“That’s just the reality. So, you need to ask the question, is it better to have so many games or is it better to have less games and to have more recovery and better performance on the pitch?
“You need to find the right balance, which is hard.”
It’s clear that the former left back has a lot of respect for the man who currently holds his former position and all supporters know how important Robbo is for the club.

Faced with questions about his future on Merseyside, our No.26 was keen to remind everyone that he is in good form and perhaps deserves more respect than he is being given.
To play at a club this size for such a long time is not something that happens by chance and the 31-year-old has repeatedly fought off competition from rivals.
With Milos Kerkez being touted as a potential new option in this role, it’ll be over to the former Hull City man to win another fight for his position.
Given his track record, it would be remiss to rule Andy Robertson out yet.
