FC Bayern Women may have only just started pre-season ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, but a number of players are now already away with their national teams to compete in Euro 2025 qualification, the Olympic Games and the U19s Euros. fcbayern.com rounds up who’s playing where this July.

Germany face Poland

Lea Schüller, Sydney Lohmann, Giulia Gwinn, Klara Bühl and Lena Oberdorf are with Germany, who are already assured of their place at next summer’s Euros in Switzerland but still have two final qualifiers to play against second-placed Iceland and third-placed Austria in Group A4. They go to Reykjavik on Friday, 12 July (6.15pm CEST) and will face club teammates Glódís Perla Viggósdóttir and Cecilía Rán Rúnarsdottír. Germany then conclude qualification in Hanover on Tuesday, 16 July (7pm) against Austria, who are without Katharina Naschenweng (cruciate ligament) and initially also Sarah Zadrazil after the midfielder suffered a toe injury in training. She could still join the squad. Viggósdóttir and Rúnarsdottír face Poland in their final game at the same time.

Straight after finishing qualifiers, Germany turn their attentions to the Olympic Games in Paris. Schüller, Lohmann, Gwinn, Bühl and Oberdorf are also in that squad for initial group games against Australia (25 July, 7pm), the USA (28 July, 9pm) and Zambia (31 July, 7pm).

Germany play Iceland in their penultimate Euro 2025 qualifier.

Stanway, Sembrant and Eriksson face off

Swedish duo Linda Sembrant and Magdelena Eriksson have two big games ahead, starting away at Group A3 leaders France on Friday, 12 July (9.10pm). They then host England and Georgia Stanway on Tuesday, 16 July (7pm). Sweden and the Lionesses are level on points, two behind France, going into the final two games.

Pernille Harder and Denmark have to go to third-place Belgium with just a two-point advantage in Group A2 on Friday, 12 July (8pm). The Danes then host bottom side Czechia on Tuesday, 16 July (7pm). Tuva Hansen’s Norway have to visit Finland (12 July, 6pm) and then welcome the Netherlands (16 July, 7pm) as they look to qualify in an open Group A1 currently topped by the Dutch. Norway are two points behind in second, level on points with Italy and one ahead of Finland.

Tuva Hansen and Norway are still in with a chance of Euro 2025 qualification.

Before Sam Kerr’s Scotland and Jovana Damnjanović’s Serbia contest the play-offs for a place at Euro 2025, the two will battle it out to top Group B2. Scotland take on Slovakia (12 July, 7pm) and Serbia face Israel (12 July, 8pm) on Matchday 5, before the pair meet in Glasgow on 16 July (7pm CEST) in the final game. The countries are locked on 10 points going into the last two rounds of fixtures.

U19 Euros set to start

Bayern also have numerous youth representatives. Alara Şehitler and the academy duo of Laura Gloning and Sarah Ernst will meet in Heilbronn for a camp between 8 and 15 July as they prepare for September’s U20 World Cup in Colombia. Reserves player Laila Portella has a tournament this summer as Germany’s U19s go to Lithuania for the Euros, where they will face group games against the Netherlands (15 July, 5pm), Ireland (18 July, 1pm) and defending champions Spain (21 July, 1pm). Club teammates Eszter Reszler and Sophia Weixler are on standby.
