Barcelona boss Hansi Flick had nothing but praise for his team, the club, and the fans after sealing the La Liga title with a 2-0 win over Espanyol.

While he celebrated the result, Flick made it clear that what truly stood out to him was the strong bond within the club.

Speaking after the match, Flick shared what meant the most to him. “I feel like we’re one big family,” he said.

“Everyone is focused, passionate, and driven. That’s what made the difference this season. The atmosphere here is special. Everyone supports each other, which I’ve never seen before.”

He added that the second half of the season was the turning point. “I think the second half of the season has been incredible; we haven’t lost a single game. I congratulate the team, the club, and the fans. It’s been incredible.”

A united club reaping the rewards

Flick gave credit to more than just the players on the pitch. “It’s always very positive to be mentally strong. After the Christmas break, they helped us a lot.

“Winning the Super Cup gave us confidence. The players, like Frenkie and many others, have reached their peak, and it’s great to see how they’ve improved. I’m very happy.”

After the match, celebrations took place behind closed doors. “I understand what happened two years ago. That’s why I chose to celebrate in the dressing room,” he explained.

Flick also highlighted Lamine Yamal’s brilliance. “He scored two goals like that in the warm-up. He’s a special talent.”

Looking ahead with optimism

While Flick enjoyed the big moments, he didn’t forget the tough ones. “Making Wojciech Szczesny the starting keeper was hard. Inaki Pena handled it well, but it wasn’t easy. Also, we miss Dr. Minarro, who is not with us today, but he’ll always be part of this family.”

As for the future, Flick kept it simple: “We’ll keep working to get better.”

He ended his message with joy and hope: “It’s time to celebrate — this is for the fans. The matches against Madrid were highlights, but this title belongs to everyone.”

Barcelona are champions again, and Hansi Flick made sure the credit was shared across the whole club.
