As such, the midfield could certainly use some revitalising. Now, a report from Brazilian media emerged on Monday evening via TNT Sports, which claims that Nottingham Forest’s Danilo has been the subject of an approach from United.

AC Milan have also established their interest, while Forest are ‘willing to negotiate’ if it looks as though their valuation of €40 million (£34m) will be met.

Danilo, 23, joined the East Midlands outfit from Palmeiras in 2023 and has since racked up 42 Premier League appearances across two seasons.
