West Ham United striker Niclas Füllkrug is the latest centre-forward to be linked with a January move to Juventus as the Bianconeri look to provide Thiago Motta with another option up front for the remaining months of the 2024-25 season.

According to reports from several outlets in Italy, Juventus are considering a move for the Germany international, who could potentially be allowed to leave East London on loan for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.

Unlike in negotiations with Manchester United for Joshua Zirkzee, or rumoured talks with PSG for Randal Kolo Muani, West Ham could sign off on a loan deal with an option to buy rather than an obligation, according to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio and Calciomercato.com.

That formula would suit Juventus, as they do not have an enormous amount of room in the budget to play with after a summer of hefty spending on the likes of Teun Koopmeiners, Douglas Luiz and Nico Gonzalez.

Füllkrug joined West Ham after an impressive summer with Germany at EURO 2024 on his home turf. The 31-year-old joined for a fee of around €27m after hitting 12 goals from 29 Bundesliga appearances for Borussia Dortmund the season prior.

Dortmund’s decision to sign Serhou Guirassy, who scored 28 league goals for VfB Stuttgart was the main reason behind the club’s decision to let Füllkrug leave.

Coincidentally, both Juventus and Milan had also been linked with moves to sign the German centre-forward over the summer, before he ended up at West Ham.
