Borussia Mönchengladbach have confirmed Marcus Thuram and Ramy Bensebaïni will leave the club this summer.
Both players are out of contract at the end of the season and have opted to move on from the Borussia-Park.
The news comes the day after captain Lars Stindl confirmed he will not be extending his contract.
Thuram has been linked with a switch to the likes of Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Newcastle in recent months, while Bensebaïni is widely expected to complete a move to Borussia Dortmund.
“We have had really open talks with both players, we knew the situation,” sporting director Roland Virkus told the club’s official website.
“It’s a shame they don’t want to extend their contracts because they have both given us so much in the last four years.
“We understand the fans are disappointed that the pair will leave. But over the last few years it has always been part of our process to sign talented players, develop them, and then at some point allow them to leave because we cannot keep them forever.
“Ideally we would receive attractive fees. It’s not great, but this is the situation.
“Both players have the ability to make the difference and have really helped us in recent seasons and continue to do so. For all the disappointment, they have earned and deserve a stylish send off.”
Gladbach have seven games remaining this season but little to play for, sitting eight points adrift of the Bundesliga’s top six and 12 points clear of the relegation play-off spot.
