FC Barcelona have clearly taken a leap in quality since the arrival of Hansi Flick on their bench. The Catalan team has emerged as one of the most promising sides in Spain and Europe this season, and their offensive prowess has been so great that they are on track to beating some of the goalscoring records from their illustrious history.
With the way the Blaugranes are scoring goals, they have the chance to break the record of 190 goals scored in a single season under Luis Enrique.
However, this is not the only record set by Enrique’s legendary Barcelona side that Flick’s team can break, as Mundo Deportivo reports that they are also on track to beat the now-PSG head coach’s record of 22 unbeaten games with Barcelona.
This unbeaten run continued from 2nd January 2016 to 2nd April 2016, when Real Madrid ended their unbeaten run with a 2-1 defeat. During these games, the Blaugrana side won 19 games and drew another 3.
As for Flick’s Barcelona, they have not been beaten in the last 14 games, since the start of 2025. Since the turn of the year, the Catalans have won 11 games and drawn 2 games. 5 of these wins have come in La Liga, 3 in Copa del Rey, 2 in the Spanish Super Cup, and 1 in the UEFA Champions League. The draws have come one apiece in La Liga, Copa del Rey, and UCL.
In this unbeaten run of 14 games, the Blaugranes have also scored 46 goals and will be facing Real Sociedad tonight at the back of a disappointing 4-4 draw against Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final.
In fact, Flick’s side has only recently overtaken a recent record set by Xavi’s Barcelona, as they remained unbeaten for 13 games in the 2022-23 season. That run was ended by a 2-1 defeat to Manchester United in the UCL.
