Arsenal’s Kai Havertz has been recalled to the Germany national team for the November international break, as reported by the Daily Mail. This call-up comes after Havertz missed the October international break due to injury, which provided him with much-needed time to rest and recover. Havertz has been an important player for Mikel Arteta’s side since his arrival at the club, and his versatility has made him a key figure in the Gunners’ tactical setup. In recent weeks, Arteta has deployed Havertz in various roles, including as a deeper-lying midfielder and even a forward, especially in the absence of Martin Odegaard.
Germany has also regarded Havertz as one of their key players, using him in a first-choice role as a striker, where he has continued to impress. His ability to perform at both club and international levels makes him an invaluable asset to both teams. Despite his strong performances for Germany, there is a sense of caution surrounding his involvement in the international break. Arsenal fans and staff alike will be hoping that Havertz returns from international duty without any further injuries, especially given the club’s injury concerns this season.
For Mikel Arteta, losing Havertz to injury could be a huge blow. The midfielder/forward has been pivotal in the Gunners’ campaign and has played an important part in both the Premier League and Champions League. With key players such as Odegaard already sidelined, Arteta would prefer to have a full-strength squad for the remainder of the season. A Havertz’s injury would leave Arsenal thin in midfield and attacking options, possibly forcing the club to enter the transfer market in January for reinforcements.
Therefore, the hope is that Havertz can continue his good form for Germany while staying fit. If he returns without injury, Arsenal can rely on his ability to contribute significantly for the remainder of 2024. With key fixtures ahead, Arsenal needs all of its important players available to secure a strong push for both domestic and European honours.
