Major League Soccer have revealed that Charlotte FC's Kristijan Kahlina has won the Goalkeeper of the Year award for 2024.
In getting his hands on the honor, he becomes the first ever Charlotte player to win an MLS end-of-season award as well as the first Croatian to do so too.
Over the course of an impressive campaign, he made 121 saves, kept 12 clean sheets and enjoyed a 75% save percentage in his third year in MLS.
He also became the first Charlotte player in history of play every single minute of a 34-game regular season as he helped the club to a top five finish in the Eastern Conference for the first time.
Kahlina is the fourth European shot-stopper to win MLS Goalkeeper of the Year award after Jimmy Nielsen, Vito Mannone and Roman Bürki.
