Simone Inzaghi and Inter Milan have studied Lazio in a detailed tactical video analysis ahead of tomorrow’s Serie A showdown.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Tomorrow evening, Inter take on Verona in Serie A.
And the two sides head into the match level on points. The Nerazzurri do have a game in hand on the Biancocelesti, however.
Inter will know that the match has the feel of a potential title-decider.
Moreover, the Nerazzurri will certainly be wary of the excellent form Lazio have been in.
The Biancocelesti have looked like an extremely cohesive unit in recent wins over Napoli and Ajax. The tactics of coach Marco Baroni have used every player on the pitch to good effect.
Inter coach Inzaghi has stressed the importance of the tactical battle more than ever for tomorrow’s match.
Tactics are certainly a strength for Lazio just as much as individual players.
The Biancocelesti’s ability to cover every area of the pitch has been key to their successes this season.
For Inzaghi, the Gazzetta reports, Inzaghi sees exploiting the wide areas as key tomorrow.
The wingbacks are often key in the Inter coach’s tactical plans.
And tomorrow, Inzaghi is keen to push back the Lazio fullbacks. Particularly Nuno Tavares.
The Nerazzurri coach feels that if he can deny the Lazio wide players space to run into – and, conversely, exploit any gaps that they leave as they try to get forward – it can be decisive.
The Inter coach wants to exploit this and create imbalances and knock-on effects elsewhere in the Biancoelesti formation.
That has therefore been the focus of video sessions in the lead-up to tomorrow’s match.
