After a breakthrough season at AS Monaco, Maghnes Akliouche (22) is the subject of interest from many clubs across Europe, including Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Crystal Palace, who are now in the market for a replacement for Michael Olise.

However, no club had yet submitted an offer, until yesterday. L’Équipe understands that Serie A champions Inter Milan submitted a verbal offer of €25m for the France youth international, currently on duty with Les Bleuets ahead of the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris.

Monaco look to extend Akliouche’s deal

The Principality club, however, weren’t open to negotiating a deal for Akliouche. As Monaco’s CEO Thiago Scuro told Get French Football News last week, not only are they not entertaining a departure, they are also looking to extend the forward’s current deal.

“It is his decision and ours that the priority is to stay. We are in good conversations with him and his agent about a contract extension. Having a season with AS Monaco, playing in the Champions League, and playing with the level of quality that we have nowadays is also the right step for him. It’s under control this situation,” said Scuro.
