The season-long deal will include an option to buy if Ipswich Town avoid relegation for a reported £30m fee.

McKenna currently has Liam Delap, Ali Al-Hamadi, George Hirst (injured) and Freddie Ladapo (likely to depart) at his disposal.

Broja has struggled for minutes at Chelsea and subsequently had spells at Southampton and Fulham.

His Premier League experience, however, could prove pivotal if the Tractor Boys want to stay in the top flight.

The Albanian international has 66 appearances in England’s top league with eights goals and three assists to his name.
