Ipswich Town will look to end the January transfer window on a high note over the coming days and weeks.
The Tractor Boys have enjoyed a superb Championship campaign so far, after earning promotion from League One last season. Kieran McKenna's side have been one of the surprises of the season, as they sit second in the table and will be hopeful of a return to the promised land of the Premier League.
Ipswich have already secured the services of Jeremy Sarmiento and Lewis Travis on loan from Brighton and Blackburn Rovers respectively, but now appear to be searching for attacking reinforcements. Today, Football League World takes a look at all the latest transfer headlines involving Ipswich Town.
Several Championship clubs, including Ipswich, have been interested in the Bournemouth striker for quite a while, but it appears that the Tractor Boys have made an active move. As per The Athletic, Ipswich have submitted a loan offer for the 31-year-old, but Bournemouth are yet to reach an agreement on a deal.
This wouldn't be the first time Moore has worn the Blue and white of Ipswich Town, having made 11 appearances during the 2016/17 campaign in which he failed to find the back of the net. He has since established himself as a dangerous goalscorer at this level though, and is now a part of Bournemouth's Premier League squad.
Moore has made just seven appearances in the Premier League this season, all from the bench, so a loan deal to the second tier looks imminent. With Ipswich's George Hirst out injured for a significant amount of time, Moore's arrival would be more than welcome at Portman Road.
According to a report from The Star, Ipswich are firmly interested in Sheffield Wednesday's Marvin Johnson. The 33-year-old was a big part of the Owls' success last season as he grabbed 14 assists in all competitions to help his side earn promotion from League One.
At the start of this season, Johnson was almost a forgotten player, but under the management of Danny Rohl, he has regained his starting spot in the side, playing either at left-back or left-wing. He has scored two and assisted two in his last five league games for Sheffield Wednesday and is now attracting interest from promotion-hopefuls Ipswich.
Alex Crook revealed on Thursday morning that Ipswich's initial offer of £1 million had been rejected as Sheffield Wednesday look to keep a hold of one of their most vital assets. The Tractor Boys may have to increase their offer in order to persuade the Owls to sell.
Sky Sports revealed on Wednesday that Ipswich defender, Axel Tuanzebe, is a topic of discussion for several Championship clubs, including Cardiff City who are very keen. The 26-year-old has made just five league starts for Ipswich this season and will want to be playing regular football.
There is no doubt that Tuanzebe is a competent defender at this level, but his fitness may be a problem. If Cardiff can keep him fit, it would be a tremendous signing for all parties. Also, his contract expires at the end of the season, so Ipswich may look to offload him in the current transfer window.
