‘It’s crazy’ – Gavi hails Barcelona teammate | OneFootball

Barcelona star Gavi has this week moved to reveal his appreciation for the ongoing efforts of a fellow member of Hansi Flick’s squad.

The player in question? Jules Koundé.

Defender Koundé, for those who may have missed it, is fresh off securing for himself a staggering individual benchmark over the weekend.

After featuring from the off in Barcelona’s La Liga meeting with Real Betis, it was revealed that the right-back has now played some part in each and every one of the last 100 combined fixtures played by Barca and the France national team.

And one individual on whom the significance of as much has not been at all lost is the aforementioned Gavi.

Speaking during a press conference ahead of his side’s Champions League showdown with Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night, midfielder Gavi made use of the opportunity to lavish praise on Koundé:

“Jules (Koundé) is a player who takes great care of himself. He’s now played 100 consecutive games… that’s crazy. It’s possible because he takes great care of himself.”
