Alvaro Morata will miss the next two Serie A games due to an injury, and according to Gazzetta, Noah Okafor is the most likely replacement against Parma, even if Francesco Camarda will probably go on the bench.
Milan will be forced to cope without their new signing Morata for upcoming league games against Parma and Lazio even if, according to Gazzetta, it is not guaranteed that the Spaniard will be back against Venezia in Round 4.
The pink paper suggests that Switzerland international Okafor is the most likely replacement for Morata in the next game at the Stadio Tardini in Parma.
Okafor didn’t only score a late equaliser against Torino on Saturday, but he’s also seen as a better fit for Milan’s system.
As Gazzetta highlights, Luka Jovic is more suited to playing close to support striker, so, against Parma, the Serbia international will likely start on the bench alongside Camarda.
The promising 16-year-old striker is playing for Milan Futuro in Serie C, Italy’s third division, but he’s expected to be promoted to the first team for the next Serie A game.
“The idea is to prepare a path for Camarda to enter the first team,” Zlatan Ibrahimovic said at a press conference in July.
“He is smart and he knows how to move on the pitch. Then, of course, physicality is needed, too. Serie C defenders are meaner than those of Primavera. They’ll have no mercy and do everything to make him think he has nothing to do with Serie C.”
