According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are trying to lower OGC Nice’s asking price for Jean-Clair Todibo but have also targeted Maxence Lacroix and Clément Lenglet.

Juventus want to sign a new centre-back and with Riccardo Calafiori in advanced talks with Arsenal, Todibo has emerged as the Old Lady’s priority target.

Monday’s printed edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, on page 14, reports that the Nice defender has agreed to personal terms with the Bianconeri, but Juventus are still in talks with the French club.

Nice had agreed to sell Todibo to Man United for €40m, but UEFA blocked the transfer last month.

Juventus hope to sign the ex-Barcelona defender for a lower transfer fee or even on loan with an obligation to buy, but Nice have other plans.

Todibo is pushing to move to Turin, so Juventus may even offer Joseph Nonge Boende or Tarik Muharemović in a player-plus-cash swap deal.

It is unlikely that Juventus and Nice will close a deal anytime soon, so the Bianconeri are also looking at potential alternatives such as Wolfsburg’s Lacroix and Barcelona‘s Lenglet. According to Gazzetta, Juventus prefer the pair to Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior.
