Key Barcelona star agrees new contract | OneFootball

Barcelona star Ronald Araújo has reached an agreement with the club over the renewal of his current contract terms.

That’s according to El Chiringuito TV, who have on Saturday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

The name of Uruguayan international Araújo has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of recent days.

This comes after word was forthcoming that, out of the blue, the 25-year-old had gone back on his decision to depart, in favour of staying put with Hansi Flick’s squad.

And, evidently, Araújo has since been convinced of the merits of continuing at the Camp Nou for years to come.

As per a report from Jose Alvarez Haya of El Chiringuito TV:

‘Araújo will renew his contract with Barcelona next week. The agreement is complete between the club and the Uruguayan defender.’

Further information on the length and financial details of the deal are expected over the days ahead.
