The feud between Barcelona and La Liga over the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor for the second half of the season has been going on for a long time.
After all, the Catalans were denied the registrations of both players by the league after the league alleged that they submitted the required documents late.
Unwilling to give up, however, the Blaugrana administration approached the CSD to secure a precautionary measure and ensured both players were made available for Hansi Flick’s plans. Javier Tebas and La Liga, however, have been hell-bent on reversing the decision.
Yesterday, the media brought to light La Liga’s latest allegation against Barcelona’s precautionary measure to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor.
Spanish media portrayed that the Middle-Eastern firm that reached an agreement to buy the VIP box seats at Spotify Camp Nou, in fact, was a direct stakeholder in Barcelona’s project as their official telecommunications partner.
Thus, the league suspected foul play and brought it to the light of the CSD, requesting that the precautionary measure be rejected.

Now, La Liga president Javier Tebas has come out to openly speak about the issue and commented via SPORT on the firm whose deal helped Joan Laporta’s team return to the 1:1 Fair Play rule.
“It was a company with €3,000 of share capital, created in May 2024, with a single sponsorship contract with Barça and that had a relationship with Dani Alves from 2020 to 2022,” he said.
“We describe the facts and ask for greater solvency,” he added about the company in question, Emirates New Era Visionary Group.
Elaborating on why he rejected Barcelona’s request to register Olmo after the club returned to the 1:1, he stated that the Catalans were late with their submission of documents.
“They sent it on January 3 but they sent it. We set those requirements based on the facts we were aware of.”
The CSD is now set to make a final decision over the status of the two players and must do so before April 7. All eyes will be on the public body to see whose side they take on this pressing matter.
