Lens predicted XI v Freiburg: Kevin Danso suspended, Abdukodir Khusanov to start | OneFootball

Whilst RC Lens will be handed a boost with the return of Facundo Medina, Kevin Danso will miss Thursday’s UEFA Europa League tie against Freiburg through suspension.

Lens have multiple options to replace the Austrian international, however, the inexperienced Abdukodir Khusanov is currently the favourite to take Danso’s place. The versatile Ruben Aguilar, capable of playing wing-back, full-back or in a back three, and Massadio Haïdara represent alternative options.

Elsewhere, Andy Diouf is set to be dropped in midfield. The France youth international was disappointing during the 0-0 draw between the two sides at the Stade Bollaert last Thursday and is set to lose his place to either Salis Abdul Samed or Nampalys Mendy, who featured particularly prominently during the UEFA Champions League group stages.
