London City Lionesses sign goalkeeper Sophia Poor on loan

London City Lionesses have signed England youth international goalkeeper Sophia Poor on loan from Aston Villa for the rest of the season.

Poor helped England U-17s reach the semi-finals of the European Championship in 2023 and last October was called up for the U-19s’ squad at the Algarve Cup.

She came through the ranks at Leicester City, had a loan spell with Loughborough Lightning, before joining Aston Villa in 2023.

Making her first start for Villa against West Ham in April 2024, she was nominated for WSL Player of the Month.
