Reports earlier today suggested that AC Milan had been in talks with Real Madrid over Arda Guler, eyeing another Brahim Diaz-esque operation. However, as stated by Daniele Longo, there has been no contact between the two clubs.

Arda Guler was a key player for Turkey during the Euros and Milan have been keeping an eye on him for a long time. He was first mentioned as a target in late 2022 and there have been several attempts since then.

As such, when Mediaset (via MilanNews) spoke of contact between Milan and Real Madrid over a potential loan deal for the Turkish wonderkid, it didn’t exactly come as a surprise. As added by Daniele Longo, though, there has been no contact between the two clubs.

Real Madrid believe in the attacking midfielder a lot, especially after his performances at the Euros, and will give him more chances next season. A move to Milan, therefore, is not on the cards as the Rossoneri are focused on more realistic targets.

Alvaro Morata appears to be just one step away from the club, just like Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana, so the fans might not have to wait too long for the first signing.
