After a dull first half, the game came to life after Amorim made attacking substitutions.

Diogo Dalot broke the deadlock, and Mainoo doubled United’s lead.

The visitors could have added a few more goals to their tally but were not clinical in the final third.

They ended the opening phase of the competition as the only unbeaten side in the Europa League,

Let’s get into player ratings.

A solid evening for the Dutch international against timid FCSB’s attack.

Lisandro Martinez – 8/10

Martinez orchestrated play from deep, slicing through opposition lines with his precise line-breaking passes.

He displayed his vision after Garnacho came on to make excellent attacking runs.

Kobbie Mainoo – 9/10

Mainoo made a strong run behind the FCSB defence but couldn’t find a clean connection with his shot.

He also earned an assist for Dalot’s strike, with journalist Samuel Luckhurst describing him as ‘excellent‘.

The veteran grew into the game after half-time, controlling from midfield with United dominating ball possession.
