France have confirmed that forward Marie-Antoinette Katoto will miss the rest of Euro 2022 after picking up a knee injury.
The Paris Saint-Germain striker - who is already the club's leading scorer aged just 23 - was substituted early on in Thursday's 2-1 win over Belgium, but it was reported on the French broadcast that the injury wasn't thought to be too serious.
However, France announced on social media on Friday that Katoto is out of the tournament due to the problem.
Katoto had already scored once at Euro 2022, grabbing the second in Les Bleues' 5-1 thrashing of Italy. One of the leading contenders to win the tournament's Golden Boot award, she will unfortunately be unable to add to her 26 goals for the national side this month.
France will face Iceland on Monday with their passage to the knockout stages as group winners already secured. Their opponents will join them in the quarter-finals with a win, but will also advance with a point if Belgium and Italy draw in Manchester.
Corinne Diacre's side will face the runners-up of Group C in Rotherham on July 23.
