Sébastien Denis is reporting that Olympique de Marseille are looking at Atalanta forward Jérémie Boga (25) as a potential replacement for Amine Harit (25), who suffered a season-ending injury in November.

Boga is currently struggling for game time at Atalanta, and a loan move in January cannot be ruled out. Since arriving from Sassuolo in January 2022, Boga has struggled to adapt to his new surroundings, and clubs were already interested in making a move for the player in the summer transfer window. According to Denis, Leicester were close to sealing a deal for Boga, before the finances of the transfer caused the deal to collapse at the last minute.

However, the Premier League side remain interested, and could yet make another move this winter. Contacts have already been re-established between Leicester and Atalanta. Bournemouth, Valencia, Fiorentina and Marseille are all interested. A move to the Stade Vélodrome is described as “complex,” however, Pablo Longoria is a big fan of the Ivorian international. He would arrive to deputies for Harit on a loan until the end of the season. The Moroccan suffered a ligament injury against Monaco in the final game before the World Cup break.
