Millwall are set to raid Liverpool for the Reds’ young left back Calum Scanlon, .

Lions boss Neil Harris has been crystal clear about the need for his squad to be strengthened and the club are working to do just that.

They are now set to sign Liverpool starlet Scanlon in a deal which will boost Harris’ left-back options before the window closes.

Scanlon, who has played for Liverpool in the Europa League, will join Millwall on a loan deal.

The Birmingham-born defender spent time in the youth ranks at Birmingham City before Liverpool splashed £500,000 to take him to Anfield.

He is highly rated at Liverpool and the Reds will be keen for the 19-year-old to get regular game time.

It is unclear if Millwall have given Liverpool any guarantees about how many minutes Scanlon will get.

The defender, who penned a fresh Liverpool deal earlier this year, has been capped by England Under-19s.
