Napoli have confirmed the signing of centre-back Alessandro Buongiorno from Torino.

Antonio Conte's side faced competition from Juventus but have managed to fight off the Old Lady to secure the Italian international's services, with Buongiorno signing a five year deal in Naples.

The centre-back rose to prominence across the 2023/24 campaign, appearing 29 times and scoring three goals in the process, helping his Torino side finish above Napoli in Serie A.

His form didn't go unnoticed by the Italian national side, though he was an unused substitute for Luciano Spalletti throughout Italy's EURO 2024 campaign.

Now, the 25-year-old has secured a move to the Stadio Diego Maradona, in a deal believed to be worth around €35 million.
