Eintracht’s 2024/25 squad numbers have been confirmed. Amenda, Højlund, Matanovic, Kristensen, Uzun, Brown, Lisztes, Onguéné and Alidou have chosen theirs, but it’s ‘as you were’ for their Eagles team-mates.

Just in time for the start of the new season, Eintracht have confirmed their squad numbers for the 2024/25 campaign. First things first – all players who were at the club during the 2023/24 season have kept their numbers.

New arrivals, new numbers

Apart from those returning to the club following loan spells or recently promoted to the first team, six players are set for their first competitive appearances in Eintracht colours this season: Aurèle Amenda, Nathaniel Brown, Oscar Højlund, Rasmus Kristensen, Krisztián Lisztes and Can Uzun. Amenda has inherited number five from Hrvoje Smolcic, who has joined LASK on loan.  Højlund has been handed number six after Kristijan Jakic’s permanent move to FC Augsburg, while Uzun will wear the number 20 shirt previously worn by the now retired Makoto Hasebe. Brown has been given number 21 – Lucas Alario’s old number – and Lisztes has taken number 23 following Jens Petter Hauge’s loan move to Bodø/Glimt until the end of 2024. The previously unallocated number 13 shirt, meanwhile, has been given to Kristensen.

Faride Alidou, Jérôme Onguéné, Igor Matanovic and Marcel Wenig have all returned to the heart of Europe this summer. Wenig has reclaimed the number 28 shirt, with Matanovic inheriting number nine from former loanee Sasa Kalajdzic, who has returned to Wolverhampton Wanderers. Onguéné will wear number 41 following Simon Simoni’s loan move to Ingolstadt, and Alidou has taken number 32 after spending last season at 1. FC Köln.

Eintracht youngsters Noah Fenyö (47), Junior Awusi (48) and Anas Alaoui (49) have also been allocated squad numbers ahead of the new campaign.
