A former member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Wednesday moved to reveal his frustration with Hansi Flick’s side.
This comes owing to developments in their latest outing.
Barcelona, of course, are fresh off a memorable triumph on the continent last night, after emerging on the right side of a nine-goal thriller at Portuguese heavyweights Benfica.
This, though, only came after the Blaugrana had slipped into a two-goal hole during the 2nd-half, owing to a series of individual mistakes.
And one individual of the opinion that as much should not be overlooked when analysing Tuesday’s action in Lisbon is Thierry Henry.
As part of his punditry role for CBS Sports, ex-Barca frontman Henry was asked for his take on his one-time club’s latest victory.
And the Frenchman could not hide his concern, in responding:
“There were still four goals conceded and they were avoidable goals. You managed to come back and the spirit was there, but you shouldn’t have been in this situation in the first place. There has to be more control. I’ve been saying that from the start.
“As I said, at Barcelona, things are always over-analysed. Again, you won, you came back and qualified, well done, but conceding four goals is not normal. If you look at Benfica, as you saw, their coach was very angry because it is almost unacceptable to be open like that and lose the game 5-4.”
