AS Monaco have confirmed the signing of Wilfried Singo (22). The Ivory Coast international joins from FC Torino and has put pen to paper on a five-year deal with Les Monégasques.
Singo joins for a reported €10m fee. He is capable of playing at right-back or at centre-back. He is unlikely to replace Vanderson, but his arrival adds depth in this position. However, Singo’s signing could signal an end to Ruben Aguilar’s time at the club. The Frenchman has been linked with a return to former club Montpellier HSC by Sports Zone and Mohamed Toubache-Ter.
Singo will likely feature more prominently at RCB with new manager Adi Hütter opting to deploy his side in a 3-4-3 formation. The Ivory Coast international could yet feature against RC Strasbourg Alsace at the Stade Louis II. Denis Zakaria, who joined from Juventus on a five-year deal earlier this week, could also be in line to make his debut.
