Official | Joane Gadou joins RB Salzburg from PSG

Paris Saint-Germain have announced that Joane Gadou (17) has left the club for Red Bull Salzburg FC in a transfer estimated to be worth around €10 million. The defender had been a part of the Paris academy system from the age of 13 but has left this summer for pastures new.

During the 2023/24 season, Gadou had trained regularly with Luis Enrique’s first team and was called up to the squad for the Coupe de France fixture against US Revel on the 4th of January. On the 7th of August, Gadou was even involved in the club’s preseason friendly against SK Sturm Graz.

The young defender’s performances for the PSG underage brackets had led to call-ups for the France u17s and u18s where he has made 20 appearances and even scored a goal. It had looked as if Gadou would become part of the club’s new focus on youth and development, but the defender has decided to take on a new challenge in the Austrian league.
