Members of the first-team setup at La Liga giants Barcelona made use of the opportunity to pay tribute to former club doctor Carles Miñarro on Saturday.

Hansi Flick’s troops made the trip to Seville yesterday evening, with silverware on the line in a Copa del Rey final showdown with arch rivals Real Madrid.

When all was said and done, Barca again proved too much for Los Blancos, emerging on the right side of a 3-2 result after extra-time.

The full-time whistle at La Cartuja sparked understandably passionate celebrations on the part of all of a Blaugrana persuasion, from players to fans and coaching staff alike.

And as alluded to above, in the midst of as much, a section of Barcelona’s stars paid tribute to the late Carles Miñarro.

Miñarro, for those not familiar with his name, was the first-team doctor who left all associated with Barcelona in a state of shock early last month, upon his sudden passing prior to the club’s scheduled La Liga meeting with Osasuna.

As showcased in the photo below, Ferran Torres therefore held up a jersey, featuring the name of Dr. Miñarro:
