RMC Sport reports that PSG will compete with Bayern Munich for the signing of Rennes attacking midfielder Désiré Doué (19). Get French Football News can confirm that Les Parisiens are interested in the prospect of luring the Angers-born versatile striker to the Parc des Princes. The France U23 international is reportedly appreciated by PSG executives and head coach Luis Enrique.

Le Parisien reported this Friday that Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich had submitted an opening offer of €35m, including €5m worth of add-ons to Rennes. The Brittany club had refused Bayern’s opening offer, but there is an acceptance within Stade Rennais that Doué will leave for pastures new. Rennes hope to make Doué their record sale a year after parting ways with Manchester City-bound Belgian international Jérémy Doku in exchange for a €60m transfer fee.

RMC Sport adds that PSG are late in the race to sign Doué compared to Bayern Munich. Talks are ongoing between Rennes and the Rekordmeister, the latter are expected to submit a second bid to their Ligue 1 counterparts.
