Things are starting to heat up as far as the future of Lille defender and Real Madrid top target Leny Yoro is concerned.

The 18-year-old has been a man in demand this summer, with Real Madrid not the only club chasing his signature.

Indeed, the likes of PSG, Liverpool, and Manchester United are all looking at the teenage prodigy, with the latter even making an offer for him recently.

Manchester United’s bid accepted

In fact, according to journalist Nabil Djellit, Manchester United’s offer, worth €50 million plus add-ons, has already been accepted by Lille.

The proposal is said to be much superior to what Real Madrid are willing to offer for Leny Yoro and as such the Ligue 1 club have accepted it.

While that may be the case, a deal is far from being completed as Yoro continues to prefer a transfer to Real Madrid.

Real Madrid’s opening proposal revealed

Meanwhile, another French journalist Santi Aouna has revealed the details of the opening offer that Real Madrid have made for Leny Yoro.

As per the report, the Merengues have offered only €20 million for the 18-year-old, whose contract with the French outfit expires in 2025.

It is the only official offer that Real Madrid have sent to Lille for the teenager thus far and are confident about closing the deal as they have an agreement on the player’s side.

Santi Aouna also corroborates the story of Manchester United tabling a higher offer, said to be around €60 million (including add-ons and variables).

Real Madrid, though, are not fazed and are prepared to be patient and wait for Lille to accept their terms, knowing that Yoro only wants to move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Lille, for their part, are eager to make the most and rake in huge sums from Yoro’s sale, which is why they are leaning towards Manchester United’s proposal. But with the defender holding firm on wanting to join Madrid, they could be forced to accept a lower offer.
