Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay, who came on as a second-half substitute in the Premier League win over Fulham, is the subject of interest from multiple clubs.

As relayed by The Peoples Person recently, the Cottagers have decided to re-enter the race for the Scotland international after seeing two previous bids get rejected.

Marco Silva’s team believes the Red Devils will agree to reduce their asking price with the end of the transfer window fast approaching as the midfielder’s current deal ends next year.

It must be remembered that a couple of other Premier League teams are also interested in the academy graduate while Napoli also remain in the hunt.

McTominay’s future

The 27-year-old would prefer to stay at his boyhood club but with a new midfielder urgently required and Casemiro’s improving form, it seems INEOS are open to selling him should they receive a satisfactory bid.

That is why they are continuing to keep their options open at this stage. The entry of so many clubs suits the new United co-owners as a bidding war will see them earn a healthy pure profit from the player’s sale.

Fulham not convincing enough for McTominay

“Fulham are doubtful over whether they will be able to convince Manchester United star Scott McTominay to walk away from his boyhood club in favour of a fresh challenge at Craven Cottage ahead of the transfer window slamming shut on August 30, GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed.

“GMS sources have been informed that Fulham have no doubts over McTominay’s quality as they aim to fill the void left by Palhinha in the middle of the park, but there are fears that he is unconvinced about linking up with Silva’s charges and how it suits his personal ambitions at this stage of his career.”

Playing in the Serie A would suit McTominay and would hand him the chance to add to his trophy cabinet as well. Fulham, on the other hand, could be dragged into a relegation dogfight if they are not careful.

Last season, the Scotsman emerged as the club’s clutch player, helping them earn 12 points from losing positions and despite Erik ten Hag wanting to keep a hold of him, his future remains uncertain with only a few days left for the window to close.
