Che Adams scored the only goal of the game as Torinio picked up their first win in seven Serie A matches with a 1-0 victory away against Empoli on Friday night.
The Scotland international was not included in the starting line-up, one of two changes that Paolo Vanoli made after the 1-0 loss to Roma last time out, while Roberto D’Aversa made just one Empoli change, swapping centre-forward Pietro Pellegri out for Lorenzo Colombo.

Liberato Cacace had a chance to put Empoli ahead after 35 minutes following tidy exchange between Tino Anjorin and Lorenzo Colombo, but his effort was turned behind for a corner.
Devis Vasquez had to make a huge save to deny Antonio Sanabria immediately afterwards.
The hosts also came close 10 minutes into the second half, through Gyasi and Cacace again, but neither were able to put the finishing touches on Sebastiano Esposito’s cross.
The deadlock would eventually be broken by Torino, through Adams, who hit an outrageous lob from the centre-circle, catching Vasquez off his line to send the visitors 1-0 up with 20 minutes of regular time left on the clock.

Adams’s eventual winner sent Torino up one position in the Serie A table. His side are now level on points with Friday night’s opponents Empoli on 19.
Empoli still lead Torino in the league on goal difference, as they sit in 10th with Toro now up to 11th.
