Our pal Tobias was absolutely right about Israel scoring last night, but unfortunately Belgium forgot to do their bit in a 1-0 defeat.

We'll stick with the Nations League and check in with Spain and Switzerland, as they play a game which has little meaning for both. Switzerland's awful form has seen them relegated from League A, while Spain have won their group with room to spare.

Even without the influential Rodri, the European champions continue to impress. Luis de la Fuente's team are looking to defend their Nations league title, and they have won four and drawn one of their UNL matches so far. Last time out, goals from Mikel Oyarzabal and Ayoze Perez gave La Roja a 2-1 win in Denmark, and Spain have now won 21 of their last 24 internationals.

Barcelona superstar Lamine Yamal is out injured, and Oyarzabal is suspended, so expect Athletic Club speedster Nico Williams to start here. Alvaro Morata could return at centre-forward to lead the side.

Switzerland have had a nightmare since their respectable run at Euro 2024. They have been relegated automatically with a game to spare, having collected a pitiful two points from five games. Conceding a late equaliser at home to Serbia last time out secured demotion for Hakan Yakin's side, and the coach admitted his side hadn't been efficient enough in attack.

Switzerland lost the reverse fixture 4-1, despite playing against ten men from the 20th minute onwards, and I fancy them to suffer another hefty defeat in Tenerife. They lost 2-0 in Denmark and 2-0 in Serbia, and with nothing to play for, we may see a few players lack that final few percent needed to compete with a team of Spain's quality.
