Former Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic was in the stands for Milan’s 3-1 loss at home to Liverpool in the Champions League on Tuesday night, before it became apparent that he is on the shortlist of coaches to replace Paulo Fonseca should the Portuguese be sacked in the near future.

Fonseca is a man under pressure in San Siro. Reports on Wednesday afternoon claim that he will effectively have to play for his job when the Derby della Madonnina against Inter rolls around on Sunday.

The Rossoneri have picked up just one victory so far this campaign, a 4-0 win over Venezia after the international break, but that was the team’s only win in five matches. The Rossoneri have also recorded 2-2 draws against Torino and Lazio, plus losses against Liverpool and Parma.

If Milan decide to part ways with Fonseca next week, Terzic is currently the first-choice candidate to replace him, according to updates from Germany.

According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, Terzic was in attendance for the loss against Liverpool on Tuesday. The report also claims that he would be keen to accept an offer from Milan should it arrive.
