FC Barcelona and Real Madrid played out a highly entertaining last El Clásico of the 2024-25 season, which saw seven goals scored between the two sides. Ultimately, the Blaugranes came out on the winning side of a 4-3 scoreline.
In addition to the traditional importance and prestige attached to a match between these two historic rivals, this game gained an even greater importance as it was set to decide the fate of the two teams in this La Liga race. Thus, after their win, the Catalans are only a single win from clinching another league title.
Keeping in view the importance of the game, several VIPs were in attendance at the Montjuic yesterday. One of these highly notable individuals was the former Barcelona forward Thierry Henry.
As Mundo Deportivo has reported, the Frenchman also talked to Barca One in the half-time break, when the Blaugranes had already overturned a 2-goal deficit into a 2-goal lead.
In this media talk, the former French forward shared how, like some Barcelona players, he remained calm even when Real Madrid had scored two goals, as he knew the Catalans would fight back:
“This team is always capable. We’ve already seen it this year against Benfica, Inter, and a couple of other times. I was very calm. I told my friends we were going to win this match, because that’s how I felt. In these kinds of games, when the score is against us, this team — don’t know why — starts playing well. We’ve seen it all year.”

Henry also compared this game to one from his own playing career at Barcelona:
“The same thing happened in 2009. We had a four-point lead before the Clásico, before winning the treble in 2009. I scored two goals, but we had an incredible team. The most important thing is that Barça won.”
It was definitely good to see such a club legend watching Barcelona win over their arch-rivals in such an important match. Thierry Henry also took some pictures with the players and swapped shirts with Lamine Yamal, as he had promised to do some days ago.
