According to reports from Voetbal International, three Dutch clubs are among the fifty top earners in Europe. As per a new UEFA financial report, club gate receipts have generated four billion euros for clubs on the continent since 2023.

It will come as no surprise that the leading clubs from the Netherlands are PSV, Feyenoord and Ajax, in that order. The Eindhoven team earned an average of 1.2 million euros from home matches, which puts them in fortieth place in this ranking. Twelve places higher are Feyenoord – with home matches at De Kuip made the Rotterdam club an average of 1.7 million euros richer.

Ajax top the Dutch list. Playing in the Johan Cruyff Arena yielded an average ticket sales turnover of 2.2 million euros. The Amsterdammers also raise a higher average amount per visitor: 40 euros, compared to 37 in Rotterdam and 35 in Eindhoven. Compared to the absolute European top, it is all child’s play, as the Dutch website exclaim.

Arsenal earns 6.1 million per home game, while Paris Saint-Germain is getting 7.3 million richer, Real Madrid is the leader with 7.4 million per ninety minutes of football on home ground. PSG’s second place is due to the very high average ticket price: in the relatively small Parc des Princes the average revenue per ticket is no less than 137 euros – more than Ajax, Feyenoord and PSV combined.
