Samuel Chukwueze was AC Milan’s most expensive signing of the 2023 summer window but there is a risk that he could leave after just 18 months, a report claims.

TMW write that Chukwueze has not carried on his form from last season and in particular during preseason where he gave the impression of being a player who is growing and fighting for a starting spot.

The numbers show that he has scored just one goal since arriving, which is far too little for a player who hit double figures in his final season with Villarreal and has the capability of causing problems for defenders with his speed and dribbling.

Milan meanwhile are not closing the door to the idea of a sale, because in the 4-2-4 and in the 4-3-3 he does not start under Fonseca. Christian Pulisic is the main man but when he arrived it was thought that he might be the back up to Chukwueze.

Instead, the USA international has made himself undroppable while the Nigerian continues to struggle. He must either turn around his form or during the January transfer window offers will be evaluated, especially after Fonseca issued a challenge to him to try and make him more consistent.
