Mateo Retegui still ranks as the best performing Italy player in Serie A after the first 13 rounds of fixtures in the 2024-25 season, but fellow Azzurri striker Moise Kean is narrowing the deficit.
Football Italia ranks the top 10 Italy players in Serie A after Round 13, which ended with Lecce’s 1-0 win away against Venezia on Monday night.
The ranking is based on average player ratings from Italian sports papers for footballers who have made at least 50% of Serie A appearances this term.
Retegui was on the scoresheet after just four minutes of Atalanta’s 3-1 victory away against Parma on Saturday, netting his 12th goal from 13 league matches so far this season.
Kean was also on target again over the weekend, scoring the second in Fiorentina’s 2-0 over 10-man Como on Sunday. The former Juventus striker now has nine goals from 12 outings in Serie A this term.

Lazio’s Mattia Zaccagni completes the top three for Italy players within Serie A so far this season. He, too, was on the scoresheet this weekend, netting the second in a 3-0 Biancocelesti win over Bologna. He now has five goals and two assists from 11 games this season.
A host of Inter players feature in the top 10, as Federico Dimarco and Nicolo Barella come out equal in terms of average ratings so far this term. Alessandro Bastoni is also among the top 10.
Only one Napoli player in Alessandro Buongiorno features, despite Antonio Conte’s side leading the division after 13 matches.
Juventus have two entrants on the list, both defenders, white Monza’s Stefano Turati currently ranks as the best performing Italy goalkeeper in the division in terms of average ratings.
