In a recent report, Fanatik revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are planning to move in for Fenerbahce playmaker Sebastian Szymanski. It has been stated that Spurs are keeping tabs on the Polish talent ahead of a potential move in the summer.
Szymanski is having a terrific campaign in Turkey after putting in several match-winning displays for Fenerbahce in the final third. The Polish attacker has participated in 49 matches for the Turkish outfit this season, netting 12 goals and grabbing 17 assists in the process across all competitions.
The 24-year-old has caught the eye with his contributions in the opposition half as he is averaging 2.2 tackles, 2.4 shots and 1.9 key passes per game in the Turkish Super Lig. He has also been tidy when distributing possession based on his pass success rate of 77.6% in the top tier of Turkish football (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the Turkish club will expire in the summer of 2027, so Spurs would have to make a big offer if they are serious about signing the Poland international later this year.

Szymanski is a solid tackler of the ball and usually generates some power with his shot attempts from long range. He has got the vision to create a few inviting chances for his teammates on the offensive end of the field.
The Poland international is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also function as a box-to-box midfielder or as a right-sided wide player if asked to do so. We can expect him to strengthen Tottenham boss Angelos Postecoglu’s attack ahead of the new campaign.
At 24, Szymanski has got his best years ahead of him which makes him a good fit for Spurs‘ needs in the long run. Postecoglu could be the ideal man to unlock the best out of the talented playmaker at the North London club in the coming years.
However, there are some concerns over whether Szymanski can cope with the physical side and high intensity of Premier League football. Still, the pros outweigh the cons of recruiting him, so Tottenham should focus on getting him on board this summer.
