Spurs agreed a deal to sign the 18-year-old winger from Gangwon FC over the summer - for a record fee for a player moving from Korea to Europe - and he will officially join the Premier League club from January 1.

The K-League season concludes after the current international break and Yang will have a two-week holiday before moving to London.

He can immediately start conditioning work at Hotspur Way but will not be able to train with his new team-mates until he has secured a work permit, and cannot be officially registered until the transfer window opens at the turn of the year.

Yang is expected to be part of Spurs's first-team squad although the club are putting no pressure on the youngster, who is likely to be afforded time to learn the language and adapt to English football before being given meaningful minutes for Ange Postecoglou's side.

Spurs are currently depleted in wide areas, with Wilson Odobert and Richarlison both sidelined long-term with hamstring injuries and Postecoglou managing the minutes of his captain Heung-min Son.

Timo Werner is also managing a groin problem, while Mikey Moore has missed the last two matches with a virus and was not called-up for England duty this month.
