Two keeper solution set to be completed with Sinisal joining Schmeichel

We told you over the weekend that Celtic were going to sign not one but two goalkeepers this week and it now looks increasingly likely that this is going to be the case.

The Scottish Champions are close to securing a deal to sign Aston Villa’s Finnish 22 year Viljami Sinisal, who will be mentored by Celtic’s other signing, veteran Danish keeper Kasper Schmeichel with a view to being groomed for the number one spot.

Celtic are cautious regarding following into the same trap that Vasili’s Barkas experienced in 2020 when he was signed as the replacement for Fraser Forster and Craig Gordon and failed to make a success of the role.
