Ajax started life under new manager Alfred Schreuder with a 3-0 friendly victory over SV Meppen.
Without their established stars on show, Schreuder’s youthful selection still made light work of their opponents who operate in the German third division.
Christian Rasmussen opened the scoring in Oldenzaal before a brace from Sontje Hansen ensured the Amsterdam giants won their first outing since previous boss Erik ten Hag departed for Manchester United.
