West Ham will hope to improve their poor record away from home this evening when the Hammers take on Newcastle United.
Julen Lopetegui’s side sit 14th in the Premier League table after a disappointing start to the campaign. The East Londoners were held to a goalless draw by Everton before the international break and have won just three of their 11 league games this season.
However, heavy defeats on the road at Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest have extended their away record to one win in their last eight. Only three teams have taken less points away from home this season.
West Ham are again without Mohammed Kudus who will sit out the fourth game of his five-match suspension. The Ghana international was sent off at Spurs last month and saw his punishment upgraded due to violent conduct. Edson Alvarez does return from suspension, however, following the Mexican’s own red card ban.
Niclas Fullkrug remains out with an Achille injury. The Germany international has featured for just 63 minutes in the Premier League since his summer arrival from Borussia Dortmund. Lopetegui has a decision to make in goal with Alphonse Areola back available after missing the draw with Everton with a knock. However, Lukasz Fabianski earned a clean sheet at the London Stadium and could retain his place.
West Ham predicted XI: Fabianski; Wan-Bissaka, Todibo, Kilman, Emerson; Soler, Paqueta, Soucek; Bowen, Summerville, Antonio.
Newcastle host West Ham in the Premier League on Monday 25th November 2024. Kick-off at St James’ Park is 8pm GMT.
The game will be shown live on Sky Sports Premier League and Main Event.
