Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are gearing up for a crucial UEFA Champions League semifinal. Just 180 minutes separate them from a spot in the final. The two sides previously met in the group stage, but PSG has made notable improvements since then.

The Gunners booked their place in the semifinals with a convincing 2-1 victory over Real Madrid in the second leg, sealing a dominant 5-1 aggregate win.

PSG also advanced with a 5-1 advantage, but their journey was much more nerve-wracking, securing a narrow 5-4 aggregate win.

Neither team is entering this clash on a high. PSG drew 1-1 with FC Nantes and suffered an unexpected defeat to OGC Nice, ending their unbeaten streak in Ligue 1. Meanwhile, Arsenal played to a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.

Ahead of the first leg clash, Aaron Ramsdale spoke to talkSPORT to discuss his former side’s Champions League run. Moreover, he spotlighted the matchup between Nuno Mendes and Bukayo Saka.

“He’s the key player,” Ramsdale said. “Like I said, he’s been out a long time, but he’s still churning out the performances and getting his stats up. I think that’ll be a crucial battle between Mendes and Bukayo. But I’ve got every faith that Bukayo comes out on top, and he’ll be the one to push Arsenal through.”

It will be interesting to see how the first 90 minutes of the tie go and which side can gain the advantage heading into the return leg.
