Nottingham Forest have confirmed that Willy Boly has extended his stay with the club.
Boly’s existing contract at the City Ground had been set to expire at the end of this month following a two-year spell.
But the Ivory Coast international reaffirmed his commitment to Nuno Espírito Santo’s side on Tuesday with a new 12-month deal.
“Willy has been an important player for our group, on and off the pitch” said Forest’s chief football officer Ross Wilson.
“He is a popular figure around the training ground and we are all pleased that his time in Nottingham continues.”
Forest also have the option to trigger another extension for Boly, who won the Africa Cup of Nations in February.
