Winter transfer target ‘still wants to sign’ for Barcelona | OneFootball

A leading member of the January transfer wishlist at La Liga giants Barcelona remains keen on linking up with Hansi Flick’s squad.

The player in question? Marcus Rashford.

The name of frontman Rashford of course proved an altogether prominent one in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital last month.

This came after word was forthcoming that the Englishman, made available on loan by Manchester United, had been earmarked as the ideal addition to Hansi Flick’s Barcelona frontline.

In the end, no such transfer developed, with Rashford having instead linked up with Unai Emery’s Aston Villa.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then the 27-year-old, for his part, remains eager to take his talents to the Camp Nou.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, citing The Sun:

‘Rashford wants to have a great end to the season to convince the Catalans that he could be an ideal signing to strengthen the squad for next season.’
